National Team Roster *new*
The international federations require a fair and transparent national selection process as a prerequisite for participation in any World Championship. Until 2024, Team AUSTRIA was reassembled each year.
Starting in 2025, ACA is establishing and continuously developing a multi-year National Team Squad. Its members are no longer evaluated solely based on their performance at a single qualification tournament but on their overall commitment and readiness throughout the year. The nominations for the appointment of new roster members is determined by a panel of experts. This approach is standard in organized sports and contributes to the continued professionalization of the discipline.
The squad is organized as an independent legal entity (ÖMC-K | ZVR 1450662396), which allows for streamlined handling of matters such as international delegations, insurance, and funding. The National Team Coach oversees the squad’s training and management, working in close coordination with the Head of Sport Development within the ACA Office to ensure effective administration and athlete support.
